Blaming the left for Biden’s shift to the right during his presidency? I don’t understand why liberals and the Democratic Party is still trying to win over conservatives and shunning leftists and progressive. But blame us for shunning us away.

The current Democratic Party is built upon shunning leftism and progressivism for bipartisanship with conservatives. The Compromised or centrist policy at the maximum. Same as it has been since the housing collapse and recession.

Because our shitty electoral system downright requires that the president bend to the whims of at least a few flyover states.

Biden never shifted. His platform is exactly as advertised. He was the moderate center left candidate that promised to be a continuation of Obama’s presidency, and that’s pretty much what we have. Voters in 2020 liked Bernie’s idea in spirit, but didn’t like his campaign, supporters, or the way he wanted to approach his big policies and they also didn’t want anything to do with trump. Biden was that in between candidate.

Also why are leftists are crying victim? Why can’t you just accept that your views and policies are simply just that unpopular?

I am willing to accept that they are not popular, but I don’t owe a party that doesn’t share my values a vote. In fact if enough people vote 3rd party we might get an idea of just how many people oppose both Biden and Trump. Maybe someone in the future will realize we are worth winning our votes, or not, but only one way to know. Either way we don’t share values or owe you anything, to you we are simply unpopular, so go and try to win over Republican voters.

I don’t care where you vote. I’m just pointing out the left, as in Marxist or some type of other socialists, are unpopular for actual reasons. This victim mentality where all of the left’s loses are the fault of someone else (bonus points if it’s a part of a conspiracy theory) and that your views are untouchable is just narcissistic.

The reason why the left is ignored in America, or anywhere really, is because they put themselves in that position. They support shitty ideologies, they’re consistently anti American in rhetoric, they refuse to compromise, they constantly support tyrants and terrorist groups, they literally attack anybody who doesn’t 100% agree with them (like calling anybody you don’t like a nazi), they’re okay with thuggish tactics, their messaging is horrible, and most of the views aren’t even pragmatic. Americans are very open to social democracy and a strong welfare state, but nobody wants to support a shitty Marxist calling them and their country evil and how they want to burn down the country in favor of a system that killed millions. Why would the American populace support this? They obviously won’t and that’s why the number of leftists is small and irrelevant. It’s Leftists aren’t alone in this, Libertarians are also irrelevant for the same reasons.

The poll data will make you ROFL when they translate to a reality. While I will be unROFLing, because “even I told you so” is bitter when people are actually hurting.

I recommend you start organizing and getting to better know your neighbours if you already haven’t. These connections might come useful.

As far as I can see, the communist (the left-right political spectrum is a dumb model) message to America is “some of you may die, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.” And I understand why they feel this way, but they should not expect us to accept death without even using the meager power over it that most of us do have.

people are already dying man. over in your country and in the middle east and more. your country is already burning books and putting children to work. your fascists are already armed.

the message is look through that pathetic theather that was put for all the world to see. its a mockery at this point, fascism already took power long ago.

if you guys don’t actually say enough is enough things will never stop spiraling, and the longer you wait the harder it will be on everyone.

So in other words, you’re saying the the MAGA bots that are using the far left’s outrage to urge people not to vote against their boy… are identical to the people that are urging people to not vote out of protest to the genocide in Gaza?

That’s quite an interesting thing to admit publicly. I’ll have to change my stance on how I deal with their propaganda from this point on.

Cool little anecdote there. Now show me an instance in history where not doing something created desired change?

Strikes don’t count because in this case, NOT voting doesn’t cancel an election.

The sad thing is, far more people downright hate Trump than people who even tolerate him in the slightest.

Tyranny FROM the minority more like it. The problem is, the people that can help this not happen, aren’t going to life a finger to help.

Then they’ll whine and complain about the results of their indication for the next four years until 2028 when they’ll again- do nothing in “protest.”

The problem there is that Democrats have some level respect for the rules. They are, for better or worse, too docile to play by the Republican rulebook (which was seemingly printed on a cocktail napkin). The Republicans have no respect for the rules. They’ve shown it time and time again. There were at least three headlines in the past week, before the debate.

You can’t win that game playing the rules, but agreeing to breaking the rules just means that fascism wins, and in doing so, the Republicans win.

The best way to have fixed this was to have been properly calling people out along the way, and recalling congressmen and impeaching judges for years. The second best way would’ve been to vote them out and stop voting for charlatans. We are long past both those ways. The Republican party of today is made by and for liars, cheats, and scoundrels, and they control a solid 1.5 thirds of our federal government today.

That is where the Democrats fucked up. This has been a slow decline to hell since Reagan, and it ramped right the hell up after McCain/Palin. They’ve had decades to plant that tree and they’re still debating over the best time do it now.

Best proof of this was the impeachment (impeachments) of Trump. They knew going into it that it was a token move and it wouldn’t mean shit once it got to Senate. If.

But by then they waited for too long. Trump is the result of a shit storm decades in the making, not it’s cause.

And what are they supposed to do? Not even try to hold him accountable and prove that nobody will even attempt it?

Once again millennials will have to barely survive thanks to the actions of our elders, and we’ll surely get their misdirected grief for it. We crawl so our parents could run. Now all that’s left to do is wait for their hearts to give out and hopefully there’s something left to trickle down.
