I think that’s what Diaspora is trying to be. I’ve not heard much from that project recently, though, so I have no clue if there’s any activity on that platform anymore.

I think Friendica tried to fit the “like a glove” bill, but Diaspora network looks pretty cool.
Diaspora is more like Facebook than MySpace. You don’t have a profile page that you get to customize like they’re describing here.
