You managed to Mr. Magoo your way to an accurate conclusion (the parties do not operate by simple democracy), but the rest is an obvious troll. I feel like it’s Russian, but I could be wrong.
To anyone else reading this: Since Biden withdrew, there is now an opening on the ticket. Much like when there’s an opening in a political office (e.g. vice president, senator, etc) without a clear and direct successor, a replacement will be named. A new VP is selected by the sitting president, senators usually by the state’s governor, etc. Often they must be confirmed, but they are not chosen by democracy.
Change a few titles, and their selection methodology, and you have the DNC/RNC.
This actually isn’t true. When you vote in the primary you aren’t actually voting for a candidate, you are voting for a slate of electors. Biden won the primaries and his slate of electors would have been seated at the convention. The electors remain the same, they have just decided, with Biden’s endorsement, to vote for Harris. Nothing has changed about how democratic the process is or would have otherwise been.
I know you are correct. But this doesn’t sound like ‘democracy is on the ballot’, which is what they say every year. And of course ‘this is the most important election of my lifetime’… Bunch of bull.
