Is it full of bloatware? If I recall the last version had some people mad because samsung likes to install their os on top of android so it effectively doubles the used space
One UI doesn’t use that much more space compared to other skins if you judge by the size of the super partition. Unfortunately, ArsTechnica jumped the gun on the topic without doing proper research.

Im still rocking my s8 because I havent seen a reason to upgrade as my phone has been working great so far and that claim didnt help with the decision. If the 24 has any major pros it might be worth it
If you’re still fine using your S8 by all means, no reason to upgrade. The point I was trying to make was that the storage issue was misinformation.
What it boiled down to was two main things: the device showing the advertised storage converted from GB to GiB but displayed as GB, and users not granting the proper permission for the Device Care causing storage taken up by apps to be lumped into the system storage. Samsung later updated devices so users wouldn’t be confused.
Thanks for explaining, I can see how the conversion from GiB to GB would cause confusion.
Is there a noticeable difference between the Titanium on the Ultra and the aluminium on the other models? I’m guessing it’s the colours on the Ultra that stand out more.
Both materials feel cool to the touch when initially held. I’d say the titanium is a bit more grippier which might be relevant if you like to use your phone without a case.
The colours are matched more on the back and frame for the S24/+ compared to the S24U.
Is that 5x actually better than the 10x in previous models? :/
We’ll be taking a bunch of photos later today, and I have my S23U with me to compare with. I took a quick shot with 10x on both devices, and at a glance the S24U is sharper.

Can you install custom roms?
In general, the bootloader of US and Canadian models can’t be unlocked. You can with other regional variants, regardless of Snapdragon or Exynos.
it should be mandatory for samsung to make the bootloader unlockable regardless of region. S24 is already dismissed for me
I doubt it, at least in the US. Samsung tends to be pretty locked down.
Is there a face swap feature similar to the pixel best take thing or is it just moving objects and erasing?

For the S24 Ultra -Can you hide the punch hole camera on the home screen? -Can you vertically scroll in the app switcher? -Are the quick tiles as bloated and useless as the Pixel phones? -Does multitasking work with animation scale disabled? -How curved are the screen edges and image/colour distortion compared to the S23 Ultra?
Is it better than the Google Pixel 8 Pro?
