Non-Christian and non-Bible person here, but I think it’s probably best to be accurate about citing these things:

    Revelation 13:16-17 King James Version

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Source: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+13%3A16-17&version=KJV which also lets you switch around between other versions of the passage.

The book neither deserves the respect, nor do practitioners bother to get it right either, so nah

If someone is trying to use a particular text to justify their shitty behavior, the ability to point to that very text can be useful when criticizing their actions.

If nothing else, either you or they will probably learn something from the interaction.
