Gators are lurking under this nesting hollow dead tree. Not one, but 3 barred owlets are in it & barely can hang on in high winds. Mum is nearby, watching from this little palm tree. If you didn’t pay attention, you wouldn’t even notice her: well-blended!

    I didn’t even notice that! I was worried I did it, but the photographer has removed it from their post, so I’m in the clear!

    Or the gator disposed of the evidence and swam off! 😮

      i think it was from the original image, since a lot of social media apps have built in image editing and lemmy isn’t one of them (unless theres some app idk about with that)

      the gator probably ran off after grabbing a writer tho
