AFIA feed and pet food manufacturing members are gravely concerned about US dependency on China for vitamins and other critical inputs for livestock feed and pet food.
Is it, though? Nothing i feed my chickens is from China. My chickens are free-range and eat well. They qualify as organic eggs. I give away (or occasionally sell very cheap) much of my surplus because I’m a Christian, and that’s how I was raised. I love blessing folks. I’m giving away several dozen per week.
Many small scale solutions do not scale up smoothly to the societal/industrial level. If you are feeding mass amounts of chickens raised in buildings using grain, you need to add additional vitamins, they are critical.

I’m an aethiest and do the same thing, so it seems doing the devent thing has nothing to do with religion… but that methodology also does’t scale.
