‼ For the first time ever — Ukrainian intelligence destroys enemy combat aircraft with a naval drone

🔥 On May 2, 2025, a Russian Su-30 was destroyed in the Black Sea by a strike from a Magura naval drone, marking the world’s first combat aircraft kill by a sea drone.

The historic strike was carried out by Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence special unit Group 13 using a missile launched from the unmanned Magura platform.

⚡ The Russian multirole fighter, valued at approximately $50 million, caught fire mid-air and eventually fell into the sea — to the bottom, into the realm of relentless Neptune.

The successful strike occurred near the port city of Novorossiysk, where Russia hides what remains of its Black Sea Fleet.

Notably, on December 31, 2024, Magura V5 naval drones destroyed two Russian Mi-8 helicopters — the first time airborne targets had ever been destroyed by a naval drone.

🫡 Thanks to all volunteers, donors, journalists, and every Ukrainian supporting the production of Magura strike drones for Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence.

The fight continues!

🇺🇦 Glory to Ukraine!

It’s difficult to tell if they got the pilot too.

That last falling object was falling slower, but I can’t tell if it had a parachute deployed, or some other means of reducing impact forces.

But a $50 million fighter destroyed is always good news.

They were picked up by a civilian cargo ship, which is incredibly lucky for them because a rescue helicopter or boat would’ve been attacked. Russians claim there were five USVs that surrounded the cargo ship, but did not attack.
