    She’s so hot.

Joe Rogan is what dumb people think what smart people sound like. He’s just a moron though and offers nothing.

I used to work with someone who loved his podcast. She tried to explain the appeal: “He can go from making dick and fart jokes to discussing astrophysics.” This person did not know I had degrees in astrophysics. All I could say was, if his dick and fart jokes are as bad as his astrophysics, then he’s got absolutely nothing.

Smart and hot, what’s not to like?

But yeah, “what dumb people think smart people sound like” seems to be a real theme with conservative influences and politicians.

Same with how conservatives think posturing, bluster, strong-arm tactics, unwillingness to compromise etc. are a sign of strength – “how weak people think strong people act”.

If there wasn’t such a chronic shortage of moral fiber among his fans, he’d be properly shut down. As soon as Spotify announced they were enabling his firehose of lie, I peace’d out and haven’t streamed a single 1 or 0 from their servers since.

It really seems to me to be a case of fault IFF. We cannot reliably discern our enemies when we see or hear them anymore. Rogan is your enemy, doesn’t matter who or where you are. If you’re carbon based life, his continued existence I’d inimical to yours. No part of anything he’s doing is going to wind up beneficial to anyone, save for himself.

This is trash content. She says literally nothing of value.

If you actually listen to what she says / read the transcript (not worth it), her complaint is that PP avoided one on one interviews with real journalists… and then … nothing … there’s no actual complaint about him going on a podcast that will lob softballs, she just calls Joe Rogan a dumbass a bunch of times and pretends like she’s making a point.

There’s a reason that people invented writing and essays, here’s a hint: back in the dawn of writing era, it was entirely possible to go to the town square and go off on an ill-informed, half cocked, diatribe about what ground your gears. But guess what? People discovered that ideas that are written down, thought through, and edited, are more compelling.

Maybe she expected the interview to happen and had an article planned about it, and then decided to just write it anyway when it didn’t

Yeah, I was trying to figure out the argument. She brings up podcasts being treated as journalism by millions when it’s not (a good point), but PP in fact did not take the interview, and her complaint ends up being:

But whatever the reason for not doing the interview, I think it was a good thing that he didn’t do it. If only because selfishly having to sit through that Jordan Peterson interview with Pierre Polyev really tested my sanity. And I think one with Rogan might genuinely break it.

Meanwhile, Joe Rogan and whoever he’s with (IDK I don’t watch this podcast) don’t say much of anything? Just comparisons to Kamala and kinda dumb complaints. I don’t get why people would watch that, but I don’t see how they dove in to Canadian politics at all.

Then it’s talk of right-wing ostensibly pro Canada Twitter accounts being Trump shills. Well, duh, they’re farming the algorithm. Twitter will bury them (and their influencer income) if they bash Trump.

Then the referendum thing, which i don’t know enough about to comment on… but seems topical I guess.

I feel like these buffoons get a lot of attention every time they spouse utter non sense or worse. I guess that is part of why they are so successful.
