Yeah this article isn’t great. It seems like it’s downplaying the reality. If you look on the website, there was a map that showed all of the protests, but it looks like the NYT ignored most of the minor ones. Also most of these pictures are just closeups of individual people, and even the few aerial shots really don’t show the full scale.
