Does it have to be set in America? I’d think the genre could work almost anywhere with technological cities.

Ha, I had one and it’s what first came to mind too. Pretty useless.
While I don’t appreciate the undocumented stealth moderation (particularly where I named the place in the photo), my other deleted comment was super rude and definitely broke rule #1. I was out of line, so better that it’s gone.
Sorry WarmSoda, you didn’t deserve the hostility. Carry on, and may you avoid future asteroids.
Yeah you’re right. I was in a foul mood and shouldn’t have commented. Sorry 😞

Maybe not on this instance but I tend to browse “everything” (not just “subscribed”) since the Lemmyverse isn’t that big.
EDIT: Here’s a previous one. https://lemmy.ml/post/17286836
Also you should totally go there, it’s pretty cool IRL :)

This one is really making the c/whitepeopletwitter community title seems extra ridiculous.
Especially if you light the 151 on fire first.
Euclidean G-llamatry
Excuse me, that’s the weed patio. The hookah goes on the porch.
It worked pretty well to stop HAL 9000.
For me the fun is learning to be more like Geralt. When I start as a player I don’t have those instincts, and the progression of collecting more recipes and ingredients and learning what exactly I need to prep for the monster around the corner is an interesting challenge and good feedback loop. I don’t want the game to do that for me, it would be too much like autopilot.
That’s somewhat hyperbolic, though it’s a worthy concern. I live in the US and none of my encounters with police have been like that whatsoever, but then again I’m white and midwestern and not financially underprivileged. I’ve seen cops thoughtfully de-escalate or give genuine selfless help firsthand.
I would still say ACAB, but that’s moreso due to the very abusable powers and excessive undue protections that political states give them. It’s a systemic problem, but not proscriptive of individual encounters.
You had me nodding till the oils. That personally sounds a bit cheaty, but then I quite enjoyed the thoughtful aspect of planning your potions and oils carefully before combat.
But otherwise yeah I played with QoL mods before, mostly to help the UI and map and inventory. Worth the minor effort for sure.
I guess I can only speak from my experience. Most of the instructors and blackbelts who taught me were working on advanced academic degrees as well and actually cared about their students learning all aspects of the art. No meatheaded dudebros whatsoever. They would never even consider promoting that type of buffoon.
Sorry to hear your experience wasn’t the same.
Thanks! I remember using DarNified for Skyrim so that sounds promising.
Red Dead Redemption 2. I love it but put it down for like a week then got distracted by other games. Haven’t had the drive yet to pick the story back up.
Witcher 3. I never played Blood & Wine. I loved the game as well as Heart of Stone but I scoured every inch and burned myself out. Told myself I’d save B&W for when I make some changes in my life, as motivation. Still haven’t made a couple of the biggest yet though.
I highly recommend giving Subnautica another shot. It quickly became one of my all-time favorites. The devs have gone back and made improvements and even brought some buildables and minor features from Below Zero into the original game. It’s not perfect and you could still potentially lose a seamoth to a bug but I was able to finish it on hardcore mode (one death erases your save) if that tells you anything about stability.
Someone should get this chart as a full body tattoo. Please report back; I’ll be waiting.
