I can’t remember the last time a movie came out that made me want to go see in theatres. Tickets are so expensive that I only want to go to one or two movies a year. Then with TV I find every show these days has “netflix syndrome” with lazy writing, exposition dumps, dummed down dialogue, I’m just not interested in what they have to offer most of the time.

You don’t need to know french at all outside Quebec, that province is kind of like its own country (IMO). Source: live in Ontario with family in la belle provence, I’ve spent a fair bit of time up there. That said I still love Quebec its beautiful. My spanish is better than my french haha!

oh thats fun! I’d love it if we shored up manufacturing and logistics to boot so we’re more self-sufficient. That would be expensive but could be a great investment in the long run if we do it right

I see the current situation like a playground. we cant just ignore bullies but we definitely don’t have to play with them! Theres lots of other fun groups to hang out with! It sucks that the bully has singled us out to pick on us and is trying to take our lunch money but we can just tell him to fuck off! That will make him super mad but thats what friends are for!

I don’t blame them, I’d be pretty salty too if my government fired me after years of service and someone offered me a bunch of money for my expertise.

I’m in full support of cutting off from the US entirely and branching out on our own to hang with the rest of the world. Life is too short to be so angry all the time, best way to play this game is to not play it at all and start your own club.

I use it for school. I’m in different groups and I need to use it for chat, file and image sharing on different projects and its an absolute nightmare trying to keep track of channels, I’d rather use literally any other software to accomplish this task. Most of us just jump on discord and use that.

I cant stand anything microsoft anymore. Teams, outlook, word, every iteration just makes me more angry.

Ya it was for a homecoming football game, must have been 10 years ago now but it was insanely fun. I don’t even think we bothered going to the game haha! Just drinking pilsner and flipping pancakes, I made a core memory that day!

Back in university we had a pankegger, we got like 5 kegs and a costco bag of pancake mix and chocolate chips, we must have cranked out hundreds of pancakes. I just wanted to share that story it was so much fun.

Ya Engineering really is 't my thing but it seams like such a logical way to do things. This would even be great with phones if you could just swap out the battery you’re not currently using.

Its terrifying that the health secretary has no idea how serious measles is. Fatalities are pretty high, its not at all like the common cold.

I wish the batteries were modular/interchangeable. You could just pull into a station, remove the spent battery and replace it with a full one, the spent one can then just get recharged and stored at the station for the next user to change out. You could even bring some extra ones in the trunk for a long trip!
