I guess we all operate a little differently, been in tx and surrounding for decades too. I’d trade, I wish I wasn’t sweating at 80, would save on my electric bill

Not too warm? How do you sleep at 80? At 74 I’m calling to get the A/C checked, 72 is the highest ‘acceptable’ temp indoors.
This, heaven forbid a fan who legitimately wanted to like the movies just didn’t like them. No problem with the time skip, the actors, love interests, etc. the plot just sucked, the story was haphazardly thrown together. Disney wanted to cash in on nostalgia and pumped out 3 movies with no prior planning or guiding direction between the films. But if anyone complains they’re being hypercritical, or racist, or sexist, or doesn’t appreciate the spirit of the movies. Fuck that, at least Filoni is slowly fixing it. Stomach literally sank when I learned he wasn’t in charge of the acolyte in some form.
You’re not wrong sadly. One of the few enjoyable games I’ve found on mobile is the Netflix version of Bloons TD6, technically it’s paid with Netflix sub, but it’s a sub I’m not dropping ATM, so fwiw it’s good.
What gets me about most mobile games is they ask for that payment but STILL inject ads and/or other micro transactions. Or that’ll be the Price for a shitty port of a game over 20 years old, that’s worse than just emulating it. Looking at you Square Enix.
It sure feels that way, explaining to kids that YouTubers will say anything to get you to keep watching, meanwhile the elderly are following Qanon bullshit.
Just at a glance I’d say it had absolutely nothing to do with swift, just a false flag operation to announce the change and ignore the reason. Now we just need a hero to find a workaround.
Maybe I missed the boat on why we do it this way, but I think one of the first things we need to do is decouple jobs from insurance. Not much sucks as bad as losing a job then simultaneously losing insurance (oh but cobra! No cobra is stupidly expensive for someone out of a job)
Wages would need to go up to cover what was lost, not to mention reaching a living wage, the pay still needs to cover cost of insurance. Also in that vein, our tax brackets need to rise, our current ones are outdated compared to inflation.
This soapbox goes on a ways, but that’s probably enough for now.
You’re not wrong, I guess the biggest issue with it being misconstrued was by people who watch Fox news, but honestly Fox news was gonna find a way to spin it no matter what.
breathes sigh of relief
Man, I remember when Harry Potter was under fire, that was eye opening as a kid.
Even if it ends in more hotels, hotels fit more people and supply more jobs than the equivalent space in houses. For temporary lodging houses don’t make sense.
Right, as someone who is, that’s terrifying. Meanwhile, Everytime anything like this happens every other cop says I wouldn’t do that., but somehow this keeps happening.
Without the supply of homes going into shortterm rentals like VRBO it would increase supply for people who actually live in that city, travelers can use hotels. Not a full stop fix, but it would increase supply/lower rent.
Exactly, banning or severely limiting short-term rental housing ie VRBO and foreign land/property purchases Id wager would make a huge impact on righting the boat.
Right, to me it feels dishonest and pandering to change a character later like this. I don’t feel it’s winning points with anyone.
You don’t fill your attache case with fish?
So many things are starting to make sense
A few more people would probably use bikes, but I don’t see how this solves the issue, no matter how good the cycling infrastructure we won’t see cars and gas stations just disappear. I suspect I don’t see the goals as you intend them, but I don’t see people dropping there kids off at school on bikes or biking to and from a restaurant to eat a steak dinner, not to mention city services and transportation. If your target is really emissions I’d suspect that electric cars and limiting private jets would make more progress.
At first I thought, nah, they sincerely believe it’s best and would love to be a martyr. But it’s June, you’re 100% correct, this won’t make it into a classroom.
