  • Twitter, etc isn’t Canadian but it sure does has an opinion about who the Canadian Prime Minister should be.

I dont feel good about any of these social media platforms having a stake in this propaganda. Tik Tok, Twitter, reddit, etc…it’s all the same to me.

Russia, etc will use any platform they can for this shit. It doesn’t matter where the site is based. I don’t think banning tik tok or forcing it to sell will change anything. Facebook will still be a cesspool of right ring propaganda.

  • The social media at home (ie Twitter, Facebook, reddit) have been manipulating all citizens into destabilizing democracy with all the right-wing propaganda and it is getting worse every day. I can go to Twitter any day of the week and see some slander in the “What’s hot” section for any democratic/liberal leader while ass licking every conservative one depending on which country you are from. And the posts are mostly made by young Russian/etc bots. The problem is it seems to be working.

It’s not just tik tok thats used for this shit. But the others are OK because they are 'MURICAN? It’s a double standard. I’m not defending tik tok, but I personally think Twitter, etc need to be sold as well.

  • I’m talking about the anime where the girls don’t provide anything else, it’s usually more an issue for shounen anime than anything, but slice of life often has this trouble too.

I’m also not saying all anime. But there’s a disturbing amount of anime that doesn’t have female characters, just boobs and asses that want to marry the Mc or call him a pervert.

I wouldn’t remove the female characters from like Inuyasha or Rurouni Kenshin, but i would from Mashle magic and muscle because… the one female character does nothing in the whole show lol.

  • Yeah, I still browse reddit from time to time (mostly when lemme feed is dried up or I’m at my computer. I don’t browse it for hours like I used to, though. And I haven’t made a comment that wasn’t on r/lfg for months.

Most of my feed is about Canada, makes sense, I live there. But a vast majority of it is right wing propaganda. Anti immigration, pro PeePee, anti Trudeau, etc. Every week a new right wing subreddit crops up.

  • Most women prefer a natural look. They don’t go around looking like geisha. Only a handful have any obvious makeup makeup and it might be a bit of eyeshadow or something. Usually it’s the smoothen the face, brighten the face, or hide blemishes. Sure some women go above and beyond but usually this is for special occasions.

Yes women do have problems with having to look youthful and beautiful and perfect and yes makeup is partof that. But makeup is only a symptom not the cause.

Men who put in effort on their looks more than the bare minimum often get made fun of and compared women thanks to toxic masculinity.

Sure there’s effort like good hair and beard. But if they try putting on makeup to cover up blemishes or brighten their face? They get called alot of nasty things and emasculated.

If you look at men’s products for hair,it’ll be 5-in-1 products that don’t actually work but can pass because a lot of men are either bald or have short/thin hair. If you look at deodorants, they almost always have the same smell which is the same smell as the afformentioned 5-in-1. I hate this smell personally. I did find an oldspice scent I really liked and then when i looked up the comments, it was a bunch of these insecure men bitching about how a man’s product was so fruity and girly and for women/gay men. And I’m like… aren’t you trying to smell nice in order to appeal to women? Why is a scent that appeals to women a bad thing in that case???

“He/his” used for be acceptable for people/things of unknown gender as well. Point out a random animal on a walk to your parents and there’s a high chance that they will use male pronouns.

In some obscure mmo I played as a kid, someone was referring to a famous mod with male pronouns, going how it is acceptable If you don’t know the gender and it’s more polite than the alternatives. Now this was long, long, long before agender, and other gendered terms were really a known thing. If you were to told someone you were gender fluid or something like that, they would look at you like you just grew a second head. I don’t quite remember what was said, or why it was being talked about, it was around 20 years ago now. Things have changed since then.

I still fall back on the male pronoun default from time to time, but I try not to as much. But it is a learned behavior that is hard to break entirely.

  • But there is no a problem. There’s nothing wrong with him. Makeup “fixes” vitiligo but there’s nothing wrong with it. You should be proud of what you look like.

It doesn’t affect his quality of life or his health, it doesn’t make him deaf or anything that would be fixed by both ears being the same. All it does it make him look like a mutt and disqualifies him from any dogs shows. Which are just superfluous standards that promote actual, debilitating deformities. Look at showdog German shepherds as an example. Poor things can’t even walk because of “aesthetics”. Bulldog and flat faced dog breeds are another famous example. They can’t breathe. They can’t swim. They can’t even reproduce normally.

Your dog isn’t broken. There are no problems. And I’m afraid of any children you may have if you seriously hold views like this.
