I’d prefer to call him a scam artist. He is really good at taking credit for other people’s work.

You know they aren’t paying their employees $275,000/year average. There is way more to that number than just letting go 600 employees.
I may be misunderstanding how it all works, but the venues choose the ticket service, not the artists.
These are the same assholes who sound like a jackhammer when they walk in apartments.
Don’t let other people tell you how to enjoy your coffee (unless you are looking for advice). Do what makes you happy.
Do NOT blame the devs for this. They are not the ones to decide the direction of the product or the priority of the tickets they work. Blame upper management for making these poor decisions and the product managers for being spineless and not pushing back.
This seriously stressed me out when I put my last computer together. I was patient and waited hoping it would fix itself (which it did), but my heart sank when I didn’t see anything on the monitor.
Good to know this is what is happening. Some visual feedback would be nice.
I stopped using the site when they required me to provide data every few weeks in order to see anything on the site. Come on, Glassdoor. It isn’t like I am job hopping or having salary changes every 30 days.
It has become useless for first time job seekers for this reason as well.
I feel this in my bones (except I know I am in the spectrum).
I wouldn’t say I’ve had it to such a degree, but I do have a sensitivity to touch (well, every sense). I don’t have a problem if I am touching the thing (I am initiating the touch), but if the thing touches me (I am the recipient of the touch) I get this growing impulse to get away from it to the point of getting shaky. In some extreme cases it will feel like my skin is on fire even though there is no rash.
I do not know if your severity is common but I can easily see it being a thing.
Their decision to profit off the project was their downfall.
As others have said, the entire lemmy.ml instance skates on thin ice. While the people on it are generally ok the admins have a clear agenda and are not afraid to suppress ideas and discussions that do not adhere to their ideology. I always triple check any news or political posts that come from that instance.
There has been legal precedent that terms of use are not legally binding since they don’t expect customers to read it before clicking the I Agree button. They have made the agreements so long and put them in everything that they concluded there is no possible way anybody would ever read all of it for everything.
If you are ever wanting to support someone do NOT start a sentence with “Maybe you are just”. It comes off as trivializing the thing you are discussing.
There is scientific evidence that circumcision results in the area being cleaner and easier to maintain. I’m not denying it is child mutilation, but you also shouldn’t just sweep it under the rug as religious bullshittery.
That’s the thing - you think it has a negative effect. It might, but we need real studies to back that up. Laws shouldn’t be made because of unsubstantiated feelings. If you want something meaningful to come out of these things you should advocate for unbiased mass studies.
One of these is linking/forwarding from a Gmail account. I have yet to figure out how to not have to do this.
Season 1 was good but season 2 was pretty awful compared to the first. It was like they weren’t interested in making it anymore. It doesn’t help that the author was notorious for chickening out and not picking a side.
One problem is I don’t trust the asshole drivers around me to not damage my expensive vehicle. The other problem is that I don’t have $800/m to throw away on a vehicle that loses that much in value every month.
I don’t need all of these fancy features. I need a basic bitch car that gets me from point a to point b and has enough trunk space for groceries.
I’ve never really thought about it this way. Good point.
