  • Wow. That’s a hard question to answer without giving spoilers - but I will try my best.

The mood changes based on the choices you make. I always feel this overall sense of seriousness because choices do matter. Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s serious, sometimes it gives you a good scare jolt, and sometimes it’s very gory.

I’m not big on gore, but it isn’t gore for gore-fest sake.

I’d suggest playing the demo, but they’ve taken it down.

I’m picky on my horror media, and this is one of my favorites.

  • I’ll join in on the obscure movies that defined my childhood and teen years…

Texas Across the River, Warriors of the Wind (horrible cut and dub of Nauiscaa of the Valley of the Wind), Sea Prince and Fire Child (we rented the tape so much that eventually they sold it to us because we were also the last ones to rent it), Anime version of The Little Mermaid, animated Hobbit and Return of the King, Fairies, Mio and the Land of Far Away

… That’s all of the obscure ones I can think of at the moment.

  • Not mine, but my dad’s that I was there to witness.

It was summer (90s) and we were all camping at a lake. My sister and I were playing with some kids while my dad was chatting up the other kids’ dad. Just as I was getting out of the water I hear the other dad exclaim “you remind me of a guy I used to know called [name]!” My dad laughs and says “I am [name].” Turns out they used to go to school together decades before.

It’s stuck with me all these years, and has somewhat been turned into an inside joke within our family.

  • Unsure. From the way they word it on their website it doesn’t sound that way:

Why is it on Epic and not on Steam?

World of Goo 2 would not exist if Epic had not helped us fund the game! We were able to hire artists and engineers for multiple years to help us build the biggest game we’ve ever made. We’re grateful for this! You’ve likely seen similar arrangements with other games, and I imagine ours is comparable.

If you don’t use Epic, that’s ok. You can always get World of Goo 2 right here on this page, DRM-free, for Win / Mac / Linux. Just scroll up there. And if you have a Nintendo Switch, you can get it on the eShop directly on your device.

After your purchase on their site you get directed to Humble Bundle. I did not see it on my list of purchases, but I was able to download it using the link I received right after purchasing via my email.
