Yeah, and you can tell just by the look on his face that this is serious business. He’s just got to hope nothing going wrong while it’s recording. I’d be so nervous about something breaking in the machine!

I would still crush this in 5 secs flat. Good job, chef
Holy cow, I remember these skinny books. Chick tracts, ey? Growing up, back when my folks were still fundies, we had a few on the bookshelf and I remember they were my first time seeing ‘nudes’ in print. I think the highlight was some dude who went to hell’s whole butt, nary a leaf in sight. Prior to that, there was only the carefully, tastefully covered parts of Adam and Eve for me.
Hilarious that my takeaway from these was just first sight of full butt.
I saw this post elsewhere and commenters were guessing that it was Brian Eno - The Big Ship
By odd chance, I got turned onto Sturgill last month and I’ve had all the albums on repeat since. I had always liked the odd bluegrass or folk song, but never had a real in with country before this. Excited to check out the rest of this list!
Fingers crossed that one of these are still touring.
Throw her on a hill and she’ll see that it’s way easier than she expects to find the catch. I’m also pretty high strung, generally speaking, and when I couldn’t get a hang of changing gears, the moment would devolve into sheer panic and make everything worse as I snubbed the engine with each attempt. And this was during parking lot practice with someone’s old car that they were planning on junking anyways, so no need for that level of stress whatsoever.
But then I was taken to a little incline where I could clearly /feel it/ for the first time and after that, I just “got it”.
