Sad to hear that. Unfortunately, it’s true that not only Lemmy but also other Fediverse platforms like PeerTube currently lack strong moderation features.

Without setting registrations to manual approval, it’s nearly impossible to prevent spammers, we’ve seen hundreds of spam accounts created daily when registrations are open.

I’ve contacted them via email but haven’t received a response yet. Let’s wait and see.

C.IM is Mastodon, R.NF is Lemmy, you don’t need to move to R.NF but you can use C.IM to subscribe R.NF.

In Firefox, this is the console error: Prevented navigation to “otpauth://totp/R.NF:YourOnlyOne?secret=…&algorithm=SHA256&issuer=R.nF” due to an unknown protocol.

It’s the protocol for 2FA, you can add it to any software like 1Password.
