Try the SIM 2 slot (eSIM) IMEI as well. I tried the first IMEI and it said my phone wasn’t eligible but the second one was.

Looks like it’s a lose-lose-lose situation. Either risk a shoddy repair job, give away my private info to Payoneer to get the $100 or spend additional money and deal with the $150 Google Store coupon that does not combine with other offers.

I could get the 9a with the $150 off coupon and trade-in the 6a for an additional $80 back — it just sucks that I have to spend ~$300 for something that wasn’t my fault.

I think I’ll wait until the Pixel 10 comes out and decide what I want to do.

Google identified an issue with a “subset” of Pixel 6a phones and will push this mandatory update, similar to what happened with the 4a.

The eligibility page says I can either get a battery replacement for no extra cost, $100 in cash or $150 as a Google Store discount code. Need to think about it.
