Those are better specs than what I used throughout college (an Asus Eee PC running Debian with Xfce and Openbox). Not a powerful machine, but I absolutely loved that thing.

Im jüngsten “Logbuch Netzpolitik” Podcast kam das Thema aber auch zur Sprache, da beim CCC offenbar gerade so viele Hochzähl-Lücken eingehen, dass sie mit dem Melden dort kaum hinterher kommen.

I think the concern initially was that cold brew may be more prone to bacterial contamination than normal coffee, because it has lower acidity and the water used to make it is not boiled. But like the study you linked found, it seems to be safe at least when refrigerated.

Die Beobachtung zu Studierenden ist freilich anekdotisch und deshalb mit Vorsicht zu genießen. In meinen Augen sollte man das trotzdem nicht unterschätzen, da wirklich jeder, den ich in dem Kontext kenne, solche Anekdoten aus eigener Erfahrung kennt.
Lese gerade The Dark Forest von Liu Cixin (Three Body Problem), nachdem mich der ersten Teil positiv überrascht hat. In meinen Augen schwächer als der erste Teil (fehlender historischer/kultureller Kontext, schwache Übersetzung) aber trotzdem interessant und unterhaltsam.
Und was zocken angeht gerade Last Epoch auf dem Steam Deck, was Laune macht, wo ich aber noch kein Urteil zu fällen kann.

I can say with some pride that I have at least co-authored papers with null results, and they did get published. I’m not arguing that what you suggest isn’t true, but I have hope.
This is something I noticed too. Some years ago, one of the futuristic aspects of EVs was how silent they were. Meanwhile, where I live, the newest fad seems to be to buy enormous E-SUVs, and I’ve noticed that I can’t tell much of a difference between the conventional and electric versions of these cars in terms of noise (for small cars, the difference is substantial).
I’m not sure if you’re referring to trains/trams or genuinely suggesting that there could be a rail-based system for individual traffic (i.e., people use individual pods without restrictions on start/stop location or time). The latter seems genuinely utopian to me if it can be made to work.
