It’s common business practice for the first big companies in a new market/industry to create “barriers to entry”. The calls for regulation are exactly that. They don’t care about safety–just money.

I don’t know what I would do without RSS. I started with Google Reader back in 06 or so. Then went to Feedly, now Inoreader. Between that and podcasts, I have about 200 RSS subscriptions divided into categories: world news, local news, sports, science, entertainment, philosophy, etc. I don’t read every article of course, but I do have highlighted keywords to make sure I don’t miss important stuff when scanning.

Yes, countries like Germany are turning to coal as a direct result of nuclear-phobia.
The US, with all its green initiatives and solar/wind incentives, is pumping more oil than Saudi Arabia. The US has been the top oil producer on whole the planet for the last 5-6 years. The problem is getting worse.
