I used to do car electronics installs for a living. The amount of firearms I’d find was staggering.
Many times where we needed to get to/behind the glovebox, or remove the center console (which usually requires pulling every item being stored in it before removal), and we’d just find the handgun sitting right there. Had one where the client dropped off their vehicle and the gun was laying right on the floorboard.
Not firearm related, but I had a little old lady come in one time, wanted to get a radio done. Went to remove her center console so we could install an aftermarket USB in the factory USB location (adapter didn’t work with carplay too well) and I found a rusted ice pick in the center console. She was definitely ready to make someone’s day worse.

CCW training courses have lots of idiots in them. Idiots that will soon be able to legally carry a firearm in public.

After a 10 second google search, i’ve found it’s idaho’s Enhanced Concealed Carry Weapons class. Which you have to take to carry a gun around.

Normally, general classes needed to do some other half-unrelated class is always like this. Anyone in high school knows the difference between the finance class and the engineering class.
I was shooting my fully legal, registered SBR at a private range I was sharing with some boomer. He saw the length of it and was like, “Ooooh! Don’t get caught by law enforcement with that or you’ll be in deep shit!”. I explained that I had all the proper paperwork for it and even showed him that it was engraved with my name and the city I “built” the gun in like the law requires. He was still like, “…yeah but that’s a stock, not a pistol brace”. I just decided to drop the topic after assuring him one more time that it’s legal.
