Well the point of the article is that they want to shoot down nuclear missiles using satellites. But there’s no reason Elon needs to be involved other than that he’s president.

Just what if part of their defense shield idea is sneakily using Starlink satellites brilliant pebbles style to take down incoming missiles by just dropping them out of the sky in the path of incoming? Or putting some sort of secret payload on them that enables them to do a bit more than just drop.
