The job market isn’t really geared to handle hundreds of thousands of people needing new work all at once. Even without any other resultant cuts, a huge amount of unemployed people is going to be incredibly bad for the economy, and for social stability as a whole.
I mean many might want to because they want to defend the country from this assault.

The person who drove the decision to fire you is gonna be gone in a little under four years, whereas the bureaucracy isn’t.
As much as I’d like to see this BS punished, I can sympathize with workers who return to their job. I’m sure a lot of the folks affected would like to respond meaningfully to their unlawful termination but in real life the bills need to be paid.
