Ich musste neulich überraschend von Berlin nach Stuttgart und habe dafür zum ersten Mal Flixtrain genutzt. Und was soll ich sagen, es hat alles funktioniert, der Zug war von Anfang bis Ende pünktlich, und das ganze für deutlich günstiger als ich es (spontan) bei der DB haben konnte. Für mich ist das also zumindest in bestimmten Situationen eine gute Alternative.

Ja, ich habe auch direkt daran denken müssen - auch wenn die Staatsanwaltschaft bisher ein rassistisches Motiv ausschließt. Bald wissen wir hoffentlich mehr. Die Tat gehört so oder so zu den Niederträchtigsten, und ich hoffe sehr auf eine erfolgreiche Strafverfolgung.
Als jemand, der noch nie einen Zug Gras geraucht und es auch nach dem 01.04. nicht vor hat: Freut mich.

There’s nothing worse in terms of pronunciation than English. French is silly for writing twice as much as what’s pronounced, but at least it mostly follows some rules.

How much does that cost?
Zu einer Atombombe gehört immer auch ein roter Knopf. Und da die EU keine gemeinsamen Streitkräfte und damit auch keinen Commander-in-Chief hat, stelle ich es mir schwer vor, eine gute Lösung für das Knopf-Drück-Recht zu finden.
Mittelfristig ist es daher wohl realistischer, dass Frankreich und UK ihr Arsenal, vielleicht durch finanzielle Unterstützung im Rahmen von bilateralen militärischen Abkommen mit anderen europäischen Staaten, erweitern und ggf. auch zu einer Art europäischem Schutzschirm ausbauen.

Kann die Bahn jetzt bitte mal nachgeben? Als jemand, der täglich zweimal quer durch Berlin pendeln muss, ist das echt sauanstrengend.

Most people I know hate it, but I absolutely love the feeling of a fly crawling on my arms or legs. It gives me this wonderful comfortable tingling sensation and I can’t get enough of it.
Even if AI did make psychology redundant in a couple of years (which I’d bet my favourite blanket it won’t), what are the alternatives? If AI can take over a field that is focused more than most others on human interaction, personal privacy, thoughts, feelings, and individual perceptions, then it can take over almost any other field before that. So you might as well go for it while you can.
If I had to name just one, it would always be Satie, simply because I admire how he did his own thing completely and basically composed some sort of minimalism a century before it was cool. Others I love (to name just a few): Saint-Saëns, Debussy, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, late Mozart. More recently I’ve been a fan of Messiaen for his harmonic style and of Schnittke for his versatility and humour (and sometimes breathtakingly beautiful pieces). If we’re talking musicians (not composers), I’d name Alicia de Larrocha, Maria João Pires and Sviatoslav Richter for piano, and Isaac Stern for violin.
