They set up TV stations, give them shows etc to funnel money to people who will help undermine democracy. None of this is profitable, it about influence.
The battle playing out in the West now is not left and right. It’s the wealthy vs the ultra rich .
The wealthy centre, characterised by the Dems in the US and Labour in the UK - are interested in maintaining the status quo, protecting their profits and the power structures and bureaucracies that enable them. They might appear moral, but it’s really about “we’re doing very nicely thank you”

These are people that would see governments and democracy disassembled, in favour of modern feudalism, they are characterised by Conservatives and Republicans, but they are playing winner takes all.
