That’s who has to register as foreign agents. The lobbyists. Because it’s about tracking foreign influence in the government. You could donate money to the British royal family today, that doesn’t make you a foreign agent.
So you entered a conversation by pretending I said something I didn’t and when told thats what you were doing, you decided that meant I don’t know what lobbying meant.
It’s good to see you are up to the same bad faith tricks you have been since I arrived here, June of last year. Never change, my friend, though that goes without saying, since you clearly never intend to.
If you scroll up you will see the other person referred to AIPAC as the Israeli government and claimed they were funding the whole operation.
I pointed out that what they were saying was incorrect. It appears you and i are in agreement here and your comment was meant for the person you thought you were defending.
AiPAC is American through, as are its members… who are Jewish.
We gotta be careful when we start saying politically organized minorities who hold citizenship aren’t American enough. It doesn’t sound good, and maybe you aren’t intending that, but that is how it comes off.
I never said being Jewish was a requirement. But it’s a political action committee representing the interests of Jewish-Americans.
And by the application of US law, and AIPAC’s observing of US law, it is an American organization. You can disagree, but you are literally arguing against US law here, not me or my opinion. It is your opinion that is not reflected by reality here. Which you are American as well, you are allowed to hold these opinions and in many ways I would agree the law is wrong here, but facts are facts, and they say you are wrong.

Do you get it yet?

This was you yeah?
I understand the confusion now.

No. Nobody believes AIPAC’s donating members are working for Israel. That’s entirely your fiction.
The person you are defending doesn’t believe the 3 million members of AIPAC are donors. They stated that Israel is funding the entire operation.
When I told them that was not the case, they stated I was brainwashed into holding antisemitic beliefs by AIPAC, and therefore by Israel.
Quick question, my maggot friend: why are you defending somebody if you don’t even understand what it is they said?
And you think they operate solely off donations from those members? I don’t think they do.
100% of their funding is what the person you are defending said.
I’m still not defending anyone.
I would also point out that the 3 million members of AIPAC are not donating to Israel, they are donating to AIPAC.
Unless a lobby group has been sanctioned, all Americans can donate to whatever PAC they see fit. That’s called the first amendment.
I never said they couldn’t donate to it. That doesn’t make it any more American.
The laws of the US state that money is speech and Americans are allowed to use their speech to support political causes.
But if the argument is that 3 million American Jews aren’t American enough, I am going to hold your feet to the fire on that.
Unless “it” somehow means “they”, we both know I’m talking about AIPAC.

Being Jewish is not a requirement. And I contend that any organization operating on foreign interests is foreign. I think that’s pretty clear by now.
I never said being Jewish was a requirement. But it’s a political action committee representing the interests of Jewish-Americans.
