Former Bob’s Burgers actor Jay Johnston was sentenced to one year and one day in prison for his role in the January 6th US Capitol riot.

Johnston… previously pleaded guilty to a felony count of interfering with law enforcement during civil disorder in July 2024.

The 56-year-old actor was initially arrested in June 2023 after the FBI tweeted a photo requesting information about his identity. He is alleged to have led a group to the “front line of rioters confronting the police who were defending the entrance” to the Capitol, helping to launch an assault against a group of officers.

      You might see who’s making all those movies. Because it’s not Hollywood, other than the Reagan film, which he had a small part in and which also was a box-office bomb.

      He makes right-wing Christian movies because those are the only roles he gets.

      When he was Hercules, he was one of the biggest stars on TV.

        I don’t really watch Christian movies.

        The last thing I saw him in was that home alone, but with a dog instead of a kid. “Alone for Christmas”. I can’t really recommend that, either.

          “Hollywood” in this context refers to the American film industry, not necessarily the location. Major studios, national distribution, etc.

          I surely know that you don’t have to live in California if you’re a movie star and get cast in legitimate movies anymore.

          A large number of them aren’t even shot in California anymore.

              First of all, production companies are literally shooting in Georgia all the time. I have a friend who works in production in Atlanta.

              Secondly, if they wanted Kevin Sorbo in movies, he could live wherever he wanted. He didn’t abandon Hollywood, Hollywood abandoned him. Because he’s a lunatic with an ego the size of Mount Olympus.
