I actually, genuinely thought it was an accidental fire.

Speaks to the shit reputation those shit trucks deservedly have. But also how dumb of a location for an intentional fire.

      See that’s the thing.

Is a trunk/bed full of fireworks and gas average cyber truck stupidity or a real lazy attempt at arson/terrorism.

I think it might have been more about the message a burning cybertruck, in front of a trump hotel, right by the trump sign, sends, than it was about the violence. Especially since the person is military trained and knew this wasn’t going to go all OKC federal building.

I mean the guy may have been at the end of his rope for multiple reasons. I mean fort bragg/liberty has really high levels of lead in their water, mold in their facilities, etc., plus whatever PTSD he may have had. Who knows. However, being trained, he should have known this wasn’t going to be some massive explosion, that it was mostly just going to set the truck on fire.

This is beside the point of course, but I just want to point out that while I do think renaming facilities that were named after confederate soldiers is overall a good idea, in Bragg’s case they should have made an exception. Through incompetence, he accomplished more for the union than for the confederacy.

You would think a little homemade thermite would be enough to reach the batteries and set them ablaze

The cyber truck is exactly what I would expect from someone whos only job experience is memes and shitposts. A rolling dumpster fire, mocked by everyone.

That’s highly insulting to Blade Runner, which had very stylish vehicles.

It looks like a shell on an El Camino in a straight-to-video 1980s Mad Max ripoff.

I’d been comparing them to the models for the Quake mod Quake rally some time, I actually went to verify that I was remembering Quake Rally correctly and now I have to stop because the 90s video game mod had higher poly counts.

Hey, it was supposed to look bad. A dystopian future where the entire earth was basically a third world country where all the good stuff was manufactured for the off world colonies.

If Trump were already in office I would still think they were covering it up with the claims of explosives.

Now please all aboard the SpaceX rocket everybody! A 6 barrel revolver with a single bullet is added for a fun game of Russian roulette. Just to out your mind at ease, the gun is not the biggest threat to your life.

Someone threatened a powerful person and then the powerful person made sure to retaliate in a highly public way which would link their own brand to the murder?

Sometimes I wonder why my conservative family thinks that liberals are just as conspiratorial as conservatives, then I come across the comment you responded to and go “yeaaaah still don’t agree but I see where you would think that” lol

Well that’s the most fun conspiracy I’ve seen yet. Unfortunately it doesn’t work as there is video of the vehicle stopping, no one getting in or out, then it exploding

Ummm, didn’t musk actually just hold a snake oil press party were he had people remotely drive his vehicles and told the sycophants it was perfect safe robot magic driving the cars?

Kind of fucks your rebuttal there… What else you got?
