DHL, FedEx and UPS all fill the same roll of "Fucking Christ, why did they have to use them for shipping?

Something will happen to make the experience a pita.

So basically all your shipping companies suck there – except for the one that’s a federal self-funded agency? Weird.

I think one of the bigger problems is that Americans expect their stuff to be left right at their door, instead of them doing the last-mile themselves. Particularly if you live in a bigger city, taking a short walk to a packet locker or service point is so much more convenient for everyone.

UPS is rock and roll. Their employees are well paid and have solid benefits. You can tell because they’re always happy and positive. Rarely, if ever, had an issue.

FedEx OTOH, jesus. Their employees are more like contractors and are under constant pressure. They’re treated like shit and it shows.

Funny thing, I never see the same FedEx driver twice, love my UPS and USPS man. Turns out assigning regular routes brings efficiency and happy customers.

Had to tussle with people at my old company to get the UPS account info for shipping. “Just use the FedEx account.” No, fuck them, not rewarding bad behavior.

Very little experience with DHL, they’re a far distant third in commercial shipping.

      The USPS is a marvel.

I’ve never had an issue with UPS. I use pirate ship to send packages. Larger or heavier packages are better to send UPS. Usually ground service takes two days, on par with priority mail.
