You are putting socialism with communism, which they are not, which wants people to collectively own things like the means of production. You have confused yourself amidst all the propaganda.

I’m not the one confusing social programs with socialism. Marx did not advocate for healthcare for all he advocated for workers controlling the means of production. Get a dictionary and use it.
Being owned by the state also doesn’t make for socialism. The government in the US owns many things, and they are the furthest from socialism that you can get.

On a spectrum, Norway and Israel have higher social spending than Canada does, with better quality of life for those not apartheided.
