If anything, the book of Mormon would be fan-fiction in this series, or maybe one of those cases where the author’s son or whatever writes an awkward sequel that isn’t as popular as the originals and steps all over the canon.
I see you’ve read Dune
That sounds a lot like how the New Testament started before it got more popular. Maybe it’ll be the same for the Space Mormons in a couple thousand years
What would the Picard do?
I like the bit in Season 2 where he turns water into wine. I would really appreciate that in this economy
Or some Mana falling from heaven. Won’t complain about some free bread.
Where can I get some of those communist loaves and fishes?
I only read the original trilogy, space Jesus is just fanfic.
Lol … this is way bigger fandom than a quadrilogy.
This is like a Star Trek fandom that’s been going on for 3,000 years.
With the minor difference that trekkies usually don’t kill people.
usually
“Surely you’re thinking of Captain Sisko” - Janeway
Man they really jumped the shark at number 4. I mean you had to suspend rational belief across all of them but that’s just movie magic. Number 4 took it too far.
The egregious retcons just so they could set IV in the Americas is where I drew the line
Gnostic Gospels is where it’s at! Oldest surviving (non metal/stone) books in existence!
You mean the fan fiction
More like rejected drafts for the fan canon contest
I read them recently - mostly it’s the same stuff as in the canon gospels tbh. Some have more of a Buhdist slant (Jesus isn’t God but we’re all god style) but nothing out there.
I can see it in 1000 ~ 2000 years when they worship Harambe
And harambe turns into a really buff white dude with blue eyes and long hair, usually depicted on a shooting target background
Do you mean like this
Hellraiser, Hellraiser 2, Hellraiser 3: Pinhead All up in the Club, Hellraiser Generations: Pinhead Doesn’t Know What a Hologram Is.
The last two there certainly sound better than the 5th and 6th Hellraiser movies.
The now on Amazon is the cherry on top
The Book of Mormon doesn’t mention space-Jesus at all. Unless you count teleportation, which might be considered spatial manipulation. It’s more like a spinoff that connects back to the original near the end.
Where does whatever the Watchtower Society calls its… there’s no polite way to refer to what the Watchtower Society publishes… fall under all this?
i would place it under “bad fanfic”
